Snootfire (action game, 2026) — No ammo. Just appetite.
Snootfire is a twin-stick dungeon roguelite. You play Snoot, a pocket dragon who never had any ammo of her own. She slurps the goblins' purple peas out of the air, spits them back as embers, and burps when her belly is full. The campaign is four floors of the Hoard Below, five rooms each, with a boss at the end of every floor. Between rooms you pick Treats and can sign Bold Deals. The endless Hoard Hunt is the mode for the leaderboard. (Build A, game version 0.7.)[citation needed]
The Hoard Below was a quiet cellar of gold, gems and old jam jars, guarded by one very small dragon. Then the Ladle Gang arrived: pea-shooting goblins with soup ladles for helmets and kitchenware for armour. They raided the pantry, fired up the boilers, let the mushrooms run wild and put a toad with a monocle in charge of the gold.
Snoot is too young to breathe fire, but she can breathe in. Anything the goblins throw at her she swallows, warms up and spits back. If she eats too much, the whole cellar finds out.
SnootHeroShe walks slower as her belly fills, so a full Snoot hits hardest but has trouble dodging. Her belly glows purple with the peas she's holding.
Big LadleBossThe gang's head chef. He cycles through a seven-pea fan, a full pea ring (with fireballs mixed in below half health) and calling in two Pea Pips.
Kettle GolemBossTurns a twin spiral of peas from its spout, which makes it the best ammo farm in the game, and every few seconds blasts out a five-way burst of steam fireballs.
Mother MorelBossStays rooted to the spot and fires spore rings, then teleports every 5.5 seconds, leaving Sporelings and puffballs behind.
Count TolltoadBossThe gang's accountant, who pays out in coin bullets. Each coin is worth two belly. Below half health he gets furious and mixes fireballs into every pattern.
Hold slurp (right click, Space or the SLURP button) and Snoot inhales in a cone in front of her snout. Purple peas and gold coins inside the cone get pulled into her mouth and land in her belly. She walks at half speed while slurping, and she can't spit at the same time.
Each spit uses one belly pea and fires an ember that does 3 damage. If her belly is empty, Snoot can only manage a 1-damage puff, so you have to keep slurping to fight properly.
If you swallow one pea past a full belly, Snoot does a forced BUUURP. It deals heavy damage around her, wipes every bullet close by, and leaves her dizzy for a moment. You can also burp on purpose with Q or the BURP button once she's at least half full. The fuller her belly, the bigger the blast.
Red chili fireballs can't be slurped, so you have to dodge them or dash through them. Spicy Gut is the exception: with it you can swallow fireballs and spit them back as piercing double-damage flame.
After every room you pick one of three Treats. Before a non-boss room you can also sign the Bold Deal on offer. It gives the next room a curse, but that room scores double and you pick two Treats after it.
Campaign is 20 rooms. Hoard Hunt is endless: the floors loop, enemies get tougher and every fifth room is a boss. It opens once you've beaten Big Ladle. Easy, Normal and Hard change your hearts, bullet speed, how often enemies fire, how many enemies show up, and the score multiplier (x0.75, x1, x1.5). If a boss fight goes past 150 seconds, the boss takes double damage, so no fight can drag on forever.
HP shown at room 1. Enemy health goes up 4.5% with each room you clear.

Buy these on the game page and equip them. Ember is free.

Each run, three are offered after every room. Spicy Gut is rare.
