Daily Brains · five questions, no right answers, only popular ones.

Great Minds is the crowd puzzle in Daily Brains (/daily). Every day the whole world gets the same five quick questions, from "Pick a number from 1 to 4" to "Is cereal a soup?". There is no right answer to any of them. The goal is to pick the answer you think MOST players will pick, and your score is how many of them agreed with you.

STORY & LORE

A poll you can win

Most daily puzzles are you against the puzzle. Great Minds is you against everybody's guess about everybody else: the more people who think like you, the higher you score. Because the result only means something next to everyone else's, it is built to be compared and shared.

The question bank

Questions come from a hand-written bank of 1,069 friendly, worldwide questions (food fights, habits, would-you-rathers, which-is-worse, pick-a-number, animals, nostalgia and word picks). The first 48 puzzles used the 241 launch questions; from puzzle #49 the game deals 828 brand-new ones, five a day, so nothing repeats until puzzle #214 (April 2027). After that the whole bank is reshuffled each cycle. Every player gets the same five, and a day's questions never change once it has been played.

HOW IT PLAYS

Answering

Tap one option per question; there is no going back. Each player sees the options in their own shuffled order so the top button never wins just by being on top. Keys 1–6 pick an option and Enter starts the day.

Scoring

When the fifth answer is in, your ballot is counted and each answer is scored as the percentage of players who picked the same option. Your sync is the average of the five, from 0% to 100%; the leaderboard score is sync × 10 (up to 1,000). The tallies keep moving all day, but your score is fixed at the moment you voted.

Ranks and the share line

Each answer gets a square by how popular it was: 🟩 the crowd's favourite, 🟨 second, 🟧 third, 🟥 further out. Your sync earns a title: Hive Mind (60%+), Crowd Whisperer (48%+), Pretty Normal (36%+), Wildcard (24%+) or Lone Wolf. The share line shows the puzzle number, sync, title and squares and never the answers.

Results screen

After voting you see the live bars for all five questions with your pick marked, how many players have voted, and your hottest take (the answer the fewest people shared). Early in the day, while fewer than 25 people have played, an Early bird note explains the numbers are still settling. Reopening the game later refreshes the bars.

Yesterday's results

The start screen links to yesterday's five questions with their final tallies, so there is always a reason to come back tomorrow.

Streaks

Every finished day counts toward the streak: there is no losing in Great Minds, only playing. Picking the crowd's favourite on all five is a perfect day.

VERSION HISTORY

VERSION C2026-10-11
  • Bigger question bank: 828 new questions join the 241 launch ones (1,069 in all).
  • From puzzle #49 (5 November 2026) the new questions are dealt five a day with no repeats, so the bank now lasts until puzzle #213 (18 April 2027) before any question comes back.
  • Puzzles #1–48 keep exactly the questions they had, so past results and yesterday's tallies are unchanged.
VERSION B2026-10-11
  • No more "Couldn't reach the crowd" error: if the tally server is unreachable, your answers show as locked in, the game retries quietly in the background and on every reopen, and scores you as soon as a ballot lands.
VERSION A2026-10-09
  • Launch version: five crowd questions a day from a 241-question bank, live tallies, sync score and titles.
  • Hottest take, Early bird note, yesterday's results, share line, streaks and cloud-mirrored progress.
