Reverse fishing. You're the piranha; the humans are the bait.
CHOMP turns fishing around: the humans dangle their feet in the water, and you're the red-bellied piranha underneath. Sneak up on the feet, SNAP their toes off and keep your belly full across five locations, then go after the enormous foot of Big Toe Bruno. After that, the Endless Feast keeps getting faster until your belly gives out. Three difficulties, fourteen achievements and six piranha skins in the page's quick shop.
Every summer the humans sit on the edge of the water and dangle their feet in. Every summer they drop hooks and nets and anchors on the locals. One small piranha has decided it's her turn.
The largest feet in the lagoon belong to Bruno, who sits on his rock in a Hawaiian-print swimsuit, fishing, stomping and generally owning the place. Every toe he has is the size of your whole body.
Small, angry, all teeth. Swims to your cursor, your finger or the arrow keys, and SNAPs forward on a dash-bite.
Three piranha pups that hunt toes on their own for ten seconds.
A giant foot with five armoured toes. He stomps (watch for the red shadow on the sand), sweeps sideways (watch for the arrow) and drops fishing hooks. He gets faster below half health. If you can't finish him in two minutes he gets bored and leaves, and the run carries on without the boss bonus.
Glowing eyes appear at the edge of your lane, then it lunges straight across. Get out of the red stripe.
The gator's job, out at sea by the cruise ship.
Mouse: the piranha swims to the cursor, and a click SNAPs (dash-bites) toward it. Touch: drag anywhere as an invisible joystick (a small drag sneaks, a big one sprints); tap or use the small SNAP button to dash-bite. Keyboard: arrows or WASD to swim, hold Shift to sneak, Space to SNAP, P or Esc to pause. The game pauses itself when the tab is hidden.
Feet feel fast water. Swimming quickly near a foot raises its alert (a yellow ? then a red !), and at full alert it yanks out of the water. Swim slowly to get close. A SNAP is worth ×1.5 points, but its splash alerts every foot nearby. Lingering right under a foot spooks it eventually too.
Your belly drains all the time, faster in later and colder stages, and faster on harder difficulties. Every toe refills some of it, and big toes refill more. If the belly empties, the run is over. Hooks, nets, kicks, predators and anchors all take a bite out of it.
Chomps within about two seconds of each other build a combo, worth +0.25× per chain step up to ×4. Every chomp fills the Frenzy meter. When it's full you get a 7-second FEEDING FRENZY: the humans freeze in terror and don't pull out after a bite, so you can eat a whole foot, all points are doubled, you swim faster and the music speeds up.
Chomp the stage's toe quota to clear it. Bonuses: belly left × 15, Ghost Fins +1,500 if no foot was spooked, Untouched +800 if nothing hit you (all scaled by difficulty).
Touching a hook reels you up toward the surface. Mash SNAP to wriggle free (3 / 5 / 7 presses by difficulty). If you get pulled out, you lose 28 belly and get thrown back in.
Minnow (belly drains ×0.72, sleepy feet, fewer threats, score ×0.75), Piranha (standard), Megalodon (drains ×1.25, feet ×1.3 jumpier, threats ×1.35, Bruno ×1.3 HP, score ×1.6).
Clearing the campaign rolls straight into the Endless Feast, and once you've cleared it once you can start Endless from the menu. Each round cycles through the five locations with a bigger quota and faster drain. From round 4 an extra threat from another location joins in, and Bruno comes back every 5th round with more HP.
Best scores per difficulty, career toes, best Endless round and the Endless unlock are saved to your account (cloud save) and locally.
Points are base × the foot's multiplier. Base by toe: big toe 150, then 95 / 85 / 75 / 65 for the pinky.
They float up from the bottom in bubbles. Swim into one to grab it.
